Larry Payton Dies

Larry Payton, 64, president of Tulsa, Okla.-based Celebrity Attractions, died Feb. 18. 

Payton and wife Kay founded Celebrity Attractions in 1983 and brought theatrical events to the market, including a Broadway series presented throughout Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas.

His son, Drew, and brother Ed are also involved in the company. Payton was awarded the 2006 Outstanding Achievement Presenter Management Award by the Broadway League, and was the recipient of the 1997 Small Business Person of the Year Award by the Metropolitan Tulsa Chamber of Commerce. 

Cause of death was not known at press time.
