Katey Sagal’s ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Trek

Not only has the singer/actress booked a tour featuring the band behind her TV show’s music, but she’s snagged two cast members to come along with her as well.  “Katey Sagal: An Evening of Music and the Cast of Sons Of Anarchy” begins in Kansas City in mid-April.

Although Sagal has a lengthy television and film resume, the actress who plays Gemma Teller Morrow on FX’s “Sons Of Anarchy” has extensive music credentials as well, having sung backup for folks ranging from Bob Dylan to Bette Midler to Etta James.  Now she’s ready to hit the road with the Forest Rangers, the band behind the TV show’s music.

But there will be more to each evening’s gig than the songs you’ve heard while watching “Sons Of Anarchy.”  Sagal is bringing the show’s Theo Rossi (Juice), and Ryan Hurst (Opie) for a moderated panel discussion.

And if you’re wondering how she managed to snag so many people from the TV show, the answer just may be her husband, “Sons Of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter.

Here’s the schedule as it stands today:

April 18 – Kansas City, Mo., Midland Theatre
April 19 – Milwaukee, Wis., Riverside Theatre
April 20 – Minneapolis, Minn., Mill City Nights
April 21 – Chicago, Ill., Vic Theater

“We love playing because that is where we all started many years ago,” Forest Rangers leader and “Sons Of Anarchy” music supervisor Bob Thiele, Jr., said.  “Katey, like the rest of the band, started singing in bands in her teens.  And here we are, still at it, years later.  It’s pretty cool.”

Expect more dates to be announced.  Visit Sagal’s “Sons Of Anarchy” tour page on Facebook for more information.
