Morrissey Returns To The Road

Morrissey reschedules missed dates and adds a few new ones as well. New on the calendar is a stop at Hollywood High School, Philadelphia and Richmond, Va. There’s also a change in plans for San Francisco.

Various problems have plagued Morrissey as of late. In January the former Smiths singer found himself in a Michigan hospital where he underwent treatment for a bleeding ulcer. In a quote he gave to Morrissey zine True To You, he said he also received treatment for a concussion and Barrett’s esophagus, a condition brought about by abnormal changes in cells of the lower esophagus.  Earlier that same month, Morrissey postponed a few shows so that he could be with his hospitalized mother in England.

The newly revised schedule shows Morrissey’s U.S. tour extending through April 30 when he plays San Francisco.  While the original San Francisco gig was scheduled for the Davies Symphony Hall, the venue was not available for the new time period. Hence, Morrissey will play The Warfield when he rolls into the Bay Area for a second time on this tour. His sold-out March 9 gig at San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom will happen as planned.
