Dolan Leaves Live Nation Board

James Dolan resigned from the Live Nation Entertainment board of directors effective Feb. 22, the company revealed in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

No further details were immediately available about the sudden resignation, but the Madison Square Garden executive chairman and Cablevision president and CEO is thought to be close to former LNE executive chairman of Irving Azoff – who left the company Dec. 31.

The filing included no mention of the disposition of Dolan’s LYV stock holdings – as is common practice, he received a hefty chunk of just more than 3.9 million shares when he joined the board.

Live Nation announces its fourth-quarter results in an earnings call Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. PST after market close.
