Temptations’ Richard Street Dies

Richard Street, 70, former lead singer of The Temptations, died of a pulmonary embolism in Las Vegas Feb. 27.

Street sang with the group from 1971 to 1993 as a full-time member but had played with the band previously, being the understudy of Paul Williams.

He can be heard prominently on songs like “Superstar (Remember How You Got Where You Are)” and “Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone.” 

Temptation high tenor Damon Harris died in Baltimore a week prior.
