Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ 2013 Adventure
Fans in the New York City and Los Angeles areas luck out as Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers announce multi-night residencies on both coasts. Other gigs include festival stops and one-nighters. The journey begins mid-May in Evansville, Ind., and keeps on rollin’ until late June.

But you’ll have to wait until next year for a new album. Framing the spring/summer outing as a break from the studio, Petty & the band’s next album won’t arrive until 2014.
Residencies are scheduled for New Yorks’ Beacon Theatre in May and Los Angeles’s The Fonda in June.
With the band playing a few multi-day festivals, actual appearance dates for “Hangout” in Gulf Shores, Ala., and “Firefly” in Dover, Del., have not been announced, leaving us to list each event’s date span until further notice. TomPetty.com is listing June 16 for Bonnaroo, and the band’s June 28 appearance at Milwaukee’s “Summerfest” was previously announced by festival organizers.
