Los Lonely Boys’ Garza Falls
The band says Garza “is injured, but he’s very strong and God is on his side!”
The Chicano rock group has been keeping fans updated with posts on Facebook. Los Lonely Boys explains this is how the fall happened: “Shortly following the conclusion of the band’s performance, Mr. Garza walked to the front of the stage to greet fans and fell into the orchestra pit.” His bandmate and brother Joey “quickly jumped down to his aid.”
The band’s most recent update Feb. 28 adds that since being transported to the hospital doctors are observing Garza “to make sure the trauma has not led to significant spinal or neck injuries.”
Because of Garza’s fall Los Lonely Boys have been forced to cancel shows scheduled March 1-3 in Hawaii. The band’s next scheduled gig after that is March 5 in Carmel, Calif. U.S. headline dates are on the books through May, followed by summer festival appearances and a few shows with Los Lobos.
“Keep praying and thank you all so much for the positive love and prayers!” the band wrote Feb. 28. “Henry says to tell you all, a super big thanks to everyone for all the prayers and love! He also says to tell y’all he’s fine and he will be ok! We will keep you posted…God bless!”
