Suspect In Vegas Shooting Arrested
Police say they have arrested a suspect in the shooting and crash that killed three people on the Las Vegas Strip.
Las Vegas Police Capt. Chris Jones says Ammar Harris was arrested by a team of police and federal agents in Los Angeles. The suspect is a self-described pimp who was the subject of a multi-state manhunt following the Feb. 21 gunfire and chain-reaction crash that killed three and injured at least five.
Police say he fired at least five shots into a Maserati sports car, killing a self-promoted rapper named “Kenny Clutch” whom Harris argued with earlier in the valet area of a Las Vegas Trip resort.
Police say they found three women who were passengers in a Range Rover SUV allegedly driven by Harris and interviewed all of them. Harris was arrested last year in Las Vegas in a 2010 prostitution case. He was charged with robbery, sexual assault, kidnapping and coercion with a weapon.
