Forecastle Festival 2013: The Black Keys, The Avett Brothers

The Black Keys, The String Cheese Incident and The Avett Brothers are your headliners for the 2013 edition of Forecastle Festival. Better start planning your road trip. The fest’s website point out that Louisville, Ky., is “located within a day’s drive of half the U.S. population.”

The 11th annual Forecastle Festival is set for July 12-14 at Louisville’s 85-acre Waterfront Park.

The String Cheese Incident will put on three separate performances. Along with its headline set, you can catch the band as part of “The Forecastle Incident” and at a separately ticketed late night show.

After headlining and curating the 2012 fest with his band My Morning Jacket, Jim James will be back in 2013 as a solo act supporting his own recently released LP, Regions of Light and Sound of God.
