A Sex Pistol + A New York Doll

Glen Matlock has lined up another interesting tour pairing. Following last year’s co-headline tour with former Stranglers vocalist/guitarist Hugh Cornwell, the Sex Pistol is hitting the road later this month for an acoustic outing with New York Dolls guitarist Sylvain Sylvain.

Matlock has promised to perform tunes from “all areas of his career.” In addition to being the original bassist of The Sex Pistols, he also formed “the underrated but much heralded” Rich Kids, worked with acts including Iggy Pop and Primal Scream, and joined the reformed Faces in 2010. That’s the same year he put out his most recent solo album, Born Running, with his band The Philistines.
