Alt-J, Orton Return To Oz

In February, a one-off Sydney headlining theatre date by Alt-J midway through a national run on the Laneway Festival sold out in minutes.

The British band returns in July for its third visit downunder, with Frontier Touring  promoting them in stadiums. The visit takes in Perth Challenge Stadium (July 27), Melbourne Festival Hall (July 30) and Sydney Hordern Pavilion (July 31).

Beth Orton returns in May for Heavenly Sounds’ tour of four East Coast churches and cathedrals, May 6-14.

Los Angeles’ Yacht, here for the Groovin’ The Moo tour in April and May, will also do three headlining club shows booked through Handsome Tours.

Miami’s The Mavericks will headline the Gympie Music Muster in Queensland (Aug. 22-25). The bill includes American country names Kevin Welch and Sleepy Man Banjo Boys as well as A-1 list Aussie country acts Troy Cassar-DaleyCatherine BrittAdam BrandSara Storer and James Blundell.
