Red Rock Resort’s Summer Plans

Red Rock Casino Resort Spa in Las Vegas will shift its summer concert series to the facility’s Sandbar pool area and give its temporary amphitheater a break.

Station Casinos VP of Communications Lori Nelson told Pollstar the Sandbar offers a more casual environment.

“[For our] summer concert series, we’ve alternated between the backyard Sandbar area and the amphitheatre. This summer we made the decision to host the shows at the pool and focus on 3,000-seat shows,” Nelson said. “As to the future of the amphitheatre, we’ll take that season by season.”

The 10,000-capacity shed hosted acts including the Beach Boys, Pitbull, Toby Keith, Def Leppard and Lita Ford, the Honda Civic Tour and more last year.

Ovations at the company’s Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson just outside Las Vegas has also been shuttered but plans are in the works for a new offering in the space. Details are to be announced in the coming weeks.

“We’re always refreshing our product offerings, bringing in new restaurants and entertainment into the mix,” Nelson added.
