Sydney Surgery For Crüe’s Neil

Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil had surgery for kidney stones in Sydney March 11.

Crüe had to cut its set four songs short the previous night, which was their second night at Allphones Arena.

The band is co-headlining a run with KISS through McManus Entertainment.

Neil, who had been complaining of kidney stones for a few days before, was taken by ambulance to hospital from the stage, guitarist Mick Mars revealed.

The band announced it had been given the thumbs up for its Brisbane show March 12.

“If there is a way to safely perform, [Neil] always does,” manager Allen Kovac told CNN. “In nearly 20 years of managing Mötley Crüe, I can’t recall a show the band has canceled.”
