A Collection Of Animal Collective Changes

Saying a band illness resulted in a few schedule changes, Animal Collective switches five March gigs to July. Those of you keeping track at home grab your pencils.  We have work to do.

Of course, the really fanatical tour watcher always uses a ballpoint.  The permanency of pen and ink applied to band itineraries leaves those weekend-only date-city-state collectors in the dust.

Here’s what we’re looking at.  The shows affected are Toronto March 9; Cleveland March 11; Covington, Ky., March 12; Nashville March 13 and Royal Oak, Mich., March 15.

Here’s the revised schedule for the above shows:

July 9 – Toronto, Ontario, Danforth Music Hall
July 15 – Royal Oak, Mich., Royal Oak Music Theatre
July 16 – Cleveland, Ohio, House Of Blues
July 18 – Covington, Ky., Madison Theater
July 19 – Nashville, Tenn., Marathon Music Works

During the above time period, Animal Collective will play Camp Bisco in Mariaville, N.Y., sometime during the festival’s July 11-13 run.  Same goes for Forecastle, scheduled for July 13-15 in Louisville, Ky.  Neither festival has released its daily schedules.

While you’re marking down the above changes in your own touring record book, here’s one of the band’s newly unveiled live videos resulting from a collaboration with The Creators Project.

Animal Collective returns to the road March 16 when the group plays Chicago’s Riviera Theater.  Click here for more information about the current tour.
