CMV Pushed Back

China Music Valley International Music Festival, or CMV, has been pushed back from this spring to the autumn.

Though the festival, which is run by a government agency, was not firmly confirmed, it was assumed it would return in April like last year. That lineup included artists as varied as The Jesus and Mary Chain, White Lies, Pixie Lott, Friendly Fires, Glasvegas and Joss Stone.

No reason was given for the autumn timing and dates have yet to be finalized, but the Midi and Strawberry music festivals are still scheduled for April, so the change may have been implemented to avoid competition, not just in terms of attracting punters but for booking acts, as well.
