Hagar Hunting For New Beach Bar

Sammy Hagar is searching for a new location for an oceanfront beach bar.

Sammy’s Beach Bar, which was located on the boardwalk at Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino in New Jersey, was damaged by Superstorm Sandy in October.

In the time since, the Red Rocker has apparently been unable to “come to terms with Caesars Entertainment on the rebuilding of the Sammy Beach Bar & Grill at Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino,” he wrote in a statement on his website.

“Since opening in May 2010, the restaurant had been a popular boardwalk destination until it was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. While Hagar continues to explore a new partnership in the region, he and his Hagar Family Foundation will remain committed to the Atlantic City community through which he has supported local children’s charities for the last several years.”

Representatives for Caesars have noted the bar was damaged, but not destroyed, by the storm and will reopen in May as Bally’s Beach Bar.
