Market Square Site Revamp

The former site of Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, demolished in 2001, may be redeveloped beyond its current use as a parking lot.

Mayor Greg Ballard and the council are reportedly taking another shot at redeveloping that area, possibly with apartments and retail space.

Market Square Arena was the site of Elvis Presley’s last concert before he died in 1977 as well as home to the Indiana Pacers for 25 years.
