Chief Keef Released

Chief Keef was released from a Chicago juvenile detention facility March 14 after serving 60 days for violating his probation on a gun conviction.

The 17-year-old rapper, whose real name is Keith Cozart, was sentenced last year to 18 months’ probation after he was convicted on a charge of aggravated  unlawful use of a weapon. The charge stemmed from an incident during which he pointed a gun at police officers.

A Chicago judge ordered Cozart be arrested again in January after he was seen in a video interview firing a semi-automatic rifle at a New York gun range.

There are no further court restrictions on the rapper’s activities, officials said.
