Charter One Seating Expansion

The Chicago Plan Commission approved March 21 plans for expansion of lawn seating at Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island to 20,000 for its summer concert series.

The City Park District proposes to reconfigure about six acres of land near the seasonal venue to lawn seating and increasing the fixed seating from 8,000 to 8,600 at an estimated cost of $3 million, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Live Nation would fund the renovation, which will begin immediately to be completed by June 1.
