Refunding Katt

Refunds for Katt Williams  abruptly halted show at Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif., last fall are reportedly being paid but there’s still a class-action lawsuit pending against the comedian, Live Nation and Ticketmaster, according to KGO-TV.

The Nov.16 show was beset with reports of Williams walking off stage, only to come back out and hurl insults at the crowd.

Williams’ portion of the show ended shortly after it began with many angry fans voicing their opinions on Facebook,Twitter and at the venue demanding refunds for tickets priced from $33 up to $95.

The lawsuit, filed Dec. 3 in Alameda County Superior Court, accuses Williams, Live Nation and Ticketmaster of breach of contract and unjust enrichment and seeks unspecified exemplary and punitive damages.

“They had knowledge of the fact that Katt Williams was having problems prior to the concert and they did nothing to let people who purchased tickets know that the concert shouldn’t happen,” plaintiffs’ attorney Joel B. Young told the television station.
