Delaware State Unfair

Members of the Delaware House of Representatives were slated at press time to vote on a bill that could make scalping of concert tickets at the Delaware State Fair a misdemeanor offense.

If amended, the measure would prohibit people from selling, reselling or exchanging concert tickets at “a price higher than the original price on the day proceeding or on the day of an event.”

Current law already prohibits scalping of tickets for the Bob Carpenter Center on the University of Delaware campus and for NASCAR races at Dover Downs. Voting on House Bill No. 3, scheduled for last week, was postponed.
