Paramore Rocking South America This Summer

Paramore has added another round of shows to its 2013 schedule as the pop punk band racks up dates to go along with their new album. Guitarist Taylor York says, “We are going to go to one of our favorite places in the world to play rock ‘n’ shows – and that would be South America.”

York made the announcement in the video below. He adds, “It’s going to be fun times.”

The band last toured South America in early 2011, shortly after guitarist Josh Farro and drummer Zac Farro left the lineup. Paramore is getting ready to release its first full-length studio album since the Farro brothers’ split.

Due out April 9, the band’s fourth studio album is self-titled.

“We felt that the best way to give it a name was just to call it what it is. This album is us,” frontwoman Hayley Williams said in a statement on Paramore’s website.

York said, “We really mean it when we say this album feels like the record our band was always supposed to make.”

After playing Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and Australia earlier this year, Paramore has a North American tour lined up in April and May, followed by European dates in June.
