Aaron Chugg Dies
Live music veteran Aaron Chugg, 53, died after suffering a stroke during the Future Music festival.
He was tour managing the
Chugg – not related to promoter Michael Chugg – worked extensively with Grant Thomas Management and managed hard rock band Screaming Jets.
He toured managed Shannon Noll, Boom Crash Opera and Hoodoo Gurus, whose Dave Faulkner recalled, “He was always cracking jokes which were often put-downs of the people around him but it was hard to take offence because he paid out on himself as much as anyone.”
Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah recalled, “He taught me how to do my first tour budget when I was 18 years old.” Chugg was production manager for the 2000 Sydney Olympic torch rally.
