N.J. Man Hurt In Mosh Pit At Concert Sues

A New Jersey man says he was banged around at a Pittsburgh punk rock concert, but he’s not happy about it.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports Thursday that 24-year-old Joseph Pignatiello of the Pompton Plains section of Pequannock has filed a lawsuit over injuries he allegedly sustained.

Pignatiello claims he attended a Senses Fail concert at Mr. Small’s Fun House in April 2011. The lawsuit claims other concert goers pulled him into a mosh pit and threw him around, breaking his knee and spraining his shoulder.

The lawsuit claims the club owners, a band, and a production company “failed to prevent aggressive, intoxicated, drugged and/or otherwise impaired individuals from forming a mosh pit.”

A message machine at the club was full and the owners couldn’t be reached for comment.
