Iowa Promoter Files Chapter 7

Steven Brill left the radio biz to become a concert promoter for Midwest radio stations in 2011. He’d apparently dabbled in the role over the years and at the time told Radio Ink he had an idea to promote concerts for radio stations.
“I will bring a full-blown concert to other stations, generating six figures in revenue at no cost to the station,” he said. “All while giving them a show they can brand as their own.”
Brill organized three businesses – Concerts for Radio Inc., Concerts for Radio LLC and Concert Tours for Radio Inc., the local Business Record reported. The companies are no longer in operation.
According to court documents obtained by the Record, Brill and his wife listed assets of $606,821 and debts of $1.3 million in the filing.
Specifically, those debts include $45,000 to Lambert’s companies and CAA, $87,500 to Train, $125,000 to Red Truck Tickets of West Des Moines and more than $100,000 to other artists and their agents.
Brill also reportedly owes local police departments for security and traffic control during shows.
