Sure, you know R. Kelly can sing.  But the artist also has a critically acclaimed memoir – “Soulacoaster: The Diary Of Me” – under his belt and was a soundtrack producer on Whitney Houston’s final film, “Sparkle.”  Of course, his “Trapped In The Closet” series has established his acting bonafides.

So far Kelly’s 2013 schedule has the singer playing festivals, specifically the Caribbean’s St. Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival May 12; Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn., June 16; the B.E.T. Experience At LA Live at the Staples Center in Los Angeles June 30; Chicago at the Pitchfork Music Festival July 21 and Cincinnati at the Macy’s Music Festival at Paul Brown Stadium July 27.

“Festivals always have so much energy and excitement, and I am thrilled to be playing so many this summer,” Kelly said.  “I can’t wait to perform for my wonderful fans, and introduce some new people to a real R. Kelly show.”
