Crowes ’N’ Trucks Band Together

If you’re into rock ‘n’ roll and guitars and stuff like that, one of the best bets this summer will be an upcoming co-headlining excursion by The Black Crowes and Tedeschi Trucks Band. The tour will tear its way across the states east of the Mississippi in July and August.

The Black Crowes are in the middle of its first U.S. tour since the band announced its hiatus in 2010. U.S. dates on the “Lay Down With Number 13” tour are scheduled through early June, followed by several European headline gigs and festival appearances.

The group recently released a particularly large amount of audio – Wiser For The Time – which documents its five-night stand in New York City in 2010 and contains 26 songs. The collection is available on either four vinyl albums or via two digital downloads.

The married couple of Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks began 2013 by recording their second studio album together. Tedeschi Trucks Band’s debut LP, 2011’s Revelator, won a Grammy for Best Blues Album. Last May the band put out its first live album, Everybody’s Talkin.
