Spend A Few More Nights Together With The Stones
Following Wednesday’s big news about the Rolling Stones’ confirmed U.S. and Canadian “50 And Counting” shows, today the band announced it had added second nights in Chicago and Toronto.
Here’s what the North American schedule looks like now, with the newest gigs bolded:
May 5 – Oakland, Calif., Oracle Arena
May 8 – San Jose, Calif., HP Pavilion At San Jose
May 11 – Las Vegas, Nev., MGM Grand Garden Arena
May 15 – Anaheim, Calif., Honda Center
May 25 – Toronto, Ontario, Air Canada Centre
May 28 – Chicago, Ill., United Center
May 31 – Chicago, Ill., United Center
June 6 – Toronto, Ontario, Air Canada Centre
June 12 – Boston, Mass., TD Garden
June 18 – Philadelphia, Pa., Wells Fargo Center
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood have also promised to play Los Angeles’ Staples Center sometime soon. The exact date hasn’t been revealed yet because of NBA/NHL playoff schedules.
The band’s 2013 routing also includes previously announced U.K. appearances at Glastonbury Festival in Pilton June 29 and Barclaycard British Summer Time in London July 6.
Former Stone Mick Taylor is coming along on tour as a special guest.
There is a pretty good chance more dates are coming. In March Pollstar reported that sources said AEG Live has signed on as the Stones’ promoter for an 18-show arena tour in May and June.
While we wait for more dates to be announced, Citi cardmember presales for Oakland, San Jose, Toronto and Chicago (including the second nights) are ongoing now. The general onsales launch April 8.
The general onsale for London began today – and is already sold out. Tickets to Glastonbury Festival have also been snatched up.
The onsales for the rest of the dates haven’t been announced yet.
