The Grammy-nominated rapper is scheduled to perform at the nation’s oldest university for the Yardfest concert Saturday.

The Harvard Concert Commission and College Events Board announced Monday they’d retain Tyga despite a petition bearing more than 2,000 signatures. The petition had prompted university administrators to urge organizers to reconsider letting the rapper headline the event.

The Boston Globe reports organizers have apologized for failing to put on an inclusive event.

Tyga is signed to Lil Wayne’s Cash Money Records. He just released his third album, Hotel California. His hits include the Grammy-nominated “Deuces,” with Chris Brown.

Tyga’s publicist hasn’t returned a message seeking comment.
