Organizers Scrapping BamaJam 2013, Promise Refunds
Organizers of the BamaJam Music Festival say they’re suspending the summer event for 2013 because they were unable to lock down the staging venue.
The Dothan Eagle reports BamaJam producer Rendy Lovelady issued a statement late Friday saying organizers felt they had “no other option” than to suspend this year’s festival.
Lovelady says festival organizers and owners of the land in Enterprise where the event was to be held were unable to reach a lease agreement. Organizers say those who bought tickets for BamaJam this summer will received refunds by mail within 60 days.
Last June, the three-day BamaJam festival featured 61 performances including concerts by country star Tim McGraw, the Zac Brown Band, Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock.
