Paul Weller Plots An East-Coast Friendly Run

The former Jam man announces a short string of dates for the Eastern Seaboard, scheduling New York, Boston, Washington and Philadelphia for July as the only U.S. shows he’ll do this year.  Tickets go on sale later this week.

Paul Weller’s six-show tour is basically split between the New York City area and everywhere else.  Playing two venues in New York City proper, Weller will also roll into Brooklyn for a gig at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg.

Weller has cooked up something special for celebrating Record Store Day.  It’s a box set containing all four of the previously released seven-inch singles from his 2012 album Sonik Kicks.  From Yep Rock and appropriately titled Sonik Kicks The Singles Collection, the singles are pressed in colored vinyl and come in their original sleeves.  You also get a fifth seven-inch single on orange-colored vinyl featuring two previously unreleased tracks – “That Dangerous Age (Live Acoustic)” and “Be Happy Children (Live Acoustic).”  Both tracks were recorded in Weller’s Black Barn Studio.

But there’s more.  Each package also includes an autographed poster.  But you can’t snooze on this box set.  Weller has prepped only 600 copies of Sonik Kicks The Singles Collection.

Back to the tour.  Here’s the schedule:

July 25 – New York, N.Y., Apollo Theater
July 26 – New York, N.Y., Webster Hall
July 27 – Brooklyn, N.Y., Music Hall Of Williamsburg
July 28 – Boston, Mass., Royale Nightclub Boston
July 30 – Washington, D.C., 9:30 Club
July 31 – Philadelphia, Pa., Union Transfer

Tickets go on sale April 19.  Visit PaulWeller.com for more information.
