Mumford & Sons At Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
“What are you doing, oh say … Saturday 6th July? Well, sure hope you’re free,” Mumford & Sons says in a post on the band’s website.
NME points out that in addition to the July 6 gig marking Mumford & Sons’ biggest ever headline show, the performance is also the first headline concert booked at the renovated Olympic venue.
After hosting the Olympic Games Closing Ceremony last August, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park has lined up a number of festivals for the summer including Hard Rock Calling, Wireless Festival and the inaugural Electric Daisy Carnival.
If you’re not free July 6, you’ll have several chances to catch Mumford & Sons’ Gentlemen of the Road Stopover Shows in England as well as the U.S. between July and September.
The gigs feature a variety of acts appearing on one or more dates including Vampire Weekend, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes and Bear’s Den, as well as fun., Alabama Shakes, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Vaccines and more.
Tickets for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park show go on sale to the public tomorrow (April 19).
