Lamb Of God’s Euro August

Lamb Of God lines up a short run of European festivals and headline gigs that will take the band to Spain, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, France, Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom.  Needless to say, the Czech Republic is not on the routing.

The absence of any stop in the Czech Republic shouldn’t be a surprise considering Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe spent a sizeable chunk of summer 2012 sitting in a Prague jail charged with causing bodily harm to another person with lethal consequences.  Blyth was accused of pushing a fan from the stage during the band’s 2010 performance at Prague’s Abaton club.  The fan later died from his injury. 

Blythe was released from jail in early August 2012.  In March of this year a Czech court acquitted Blythe of causing the fan’s death.

Touring in support of its sixth album, Resolution, Lamb Of God’s Euro schedule is a bit different from past years in that the band is playing August festivals rather than those taking place in June.

Aug. 18 – Paris, France, Le Bataclan
