Glee’s Darren Criss Says ‘Listen Up’

You might know him as “Glee” high school student Blaine Anderson or maybe Harry Potter from StarKid’s parody musical/viral video “A Very Potter Musical.” Well, it’s time to listen up because actor/singer/songwriter/StarKid Productions co-founder Darren Criss is launching his first solo tour.

The excursion begins in Criss’ hometown of San Francisco in late May with a routing made up of 15 stops throughout the U.S., as well as one Canadian gig.

Criss plans to preview new tunes from his upcoming, as-yet-untitled album on the “Listen Up Tour.” His previous releases include his albums with StarKid Productions and the cast of “Glee” as well as his debut solo EP, 2010’s Human.

“I have been working on a collection of music for a solo album,” Criss says in the video announcement below. “It’s been hard to get everything together because of how busy I am with ‘Glee’ and with StarKid but I still have these songs and I really want to share them with people before we put them out into the world.”
