Beck On The Road

Beck has booked his first set of dates since releasing his most recent “album.” And instead of just showing fans a stack of sheet music, he’ll actually be performing some tunes for you. The new gigs include one night with Bob Dylan’s “Americanarama Festival.”

Beck will be filling in for My Morning Jacket at the July 27 “Americanarama” stop in Wantagh, N.Y., because MMJ frontman Jim James is busy that night playing Rhode Island’s Newport Folk Festival. Along with Beck and Dylan, the Wantagh show features performances from Wilco and Ryan Bingham.

Additional festival appearances for Beck include Newport Folk Festival, Days Off in Paris and Celebrate Brooklyn! Performing Arts Festival.

The majority of the dates feature stripped down, acoustic sets – with a band. Days Off is a solo acoustic gig. If full band, electric shows are more your speed, you’ll want to catch Beck in Boston or Brooklyn.

Here is the itinerary:

July 2 – Paris, France, Cite De La Musique (“Days Off”)
July 27 – Wantagh, N.Y., Nikon At Jones Beach Theater (“Americanarama”)
