Lineup Announced For Mad Decent Block Party 2013

It’s time to start making your plans for attending one of the 2013 Mad Decent Block Parties. Brought to you by Diplo’s label Mad Decent, this year features the DJ/producer along with appearances from Big Gigantic, Matt & Kim and Diplo’s side project Major Lazer.

With 13 stops through out the U.S. and Canada, this year’s schedule is Mad Decent’s most extensive festival yet. Cities on the itinerary include Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Toronto, Dallas, Atlanta and Detroit.

Each show features a slightly different lineup with each act appearing on select dates. So far, the initial roster also includes Zeds Dead, Baauer, Flosstradamus, Nadastrom, A Tribe Called Red, Dillon Francis, SBTRKT (DJ set), Dirty South Joe, Riff Raff, Destructo, Clockwork, DJ Sliink and more.

Although previous additions of Mad Decent Block Party offered free concerts, an announcement on the festival’s website explained why fans will now have to get out their wallets to attend the shows.

“The Block Parties cost money now because they are at bigger venues with bigger acts and more production involved. And in an effort to make sure that everyone who wants to go to the Block Parties will gain smooth and guaranteed entry, the best solution was to make the events ticketed while keeping the tickets as inexpensive as possible.”

A limited amount of presale tickets are on sale now, with the exception of Las Vegas. Presale tickets include a free month subscription to Mad Decent Premium on drip.fm. Starting at $20, the presale tickets are “a bit cheaper” than the general on sale tickets, which go on sale beginning May 3. VIP tickets will also be available Friday.
