LN Ducks First KISSbeach
Live Nation pulled its KISSbeach event in Great Yarmouth only 45 minutes before the local council was to discuss the licence application, according to Eastern Daily Press.
The Norfolk daily reported that LN called to withdraw the application at 9:15 a.m. April 22, less than an hour before Great Yarmouth Borough Council’s licensing sub-committee was to meet.
LN released a statement saying: “We are sorry to announce that due to unavoidable circumstances, KISSbeach, the outdoor event due to take place on Great Yarmouth Beach on June 29 and 30 has been cancelled.
“Unpreventable changes made to our summer festival schedule meant that certain amendments were required to the timings and line up for KISSbeach, which subsequently impacted on the plans for the event in its important first year. Refunds will be available at point of purchase. All other Live Nation events are unaffected.”
Day tickets for KISSbeach had been on sale for £45 and weekend tickets for £80.
