North Coast Music Festival Unveils 1st Wave

Wu-Tang Clan, Afrojack, Big Gigantic and Nas top the lineup for Chicago’s Labor Day weekend festival.   Happening Aug. 30 through Sept. 1, the North Coast Music Festival will also host The Disco Biscuits, Lotus, Mac Miller, Gary Clark Jr., and more.

With headliners Wu-Tang Clan celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of the group’s Enter The Wu-Tang Clan (36 Chambers) album by performing the disc in its entirety, the lineup also includes Rebelution, Purity Ring, Laidback Luke, Datsik, Madeon, Paper Diamond, Skream, Claude VonStroke, RL Grime, Aloe Blacc, AlunaGeorge, Just Blaze, Capital Cities, JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound, El Ten Eleven, Cherub, Poolside, Flatbush Zombies, On An On, Thibault, K. Flay and Dean Cohen. 

As with many festival lineups announced months in advance, daily schedules have yet to be locked down.

The folks at NCMF say they expect more than 50,000 people to attend with approximately 18,000 checking out the festival per day.
