Taylor Swift’s ‘Red Tour’ Going Down Under
Touring in support of her fourth studio album, Red, the 7-time Grammy winner launched her latest trek in March with two nights in Omaha, Neb. U.S. and Canada are booked through late September.
The jaunt Down Under begins in late November featuring four stadium shows in Australia along with an arena gig in New Zealand.
Promoter Michael Gudinski of Frontier Touring points out the outing is especially significant because Swift is the first solo female artist in 20 years to play a national stadium tour of Australia.
“I saw the first stadium show of Taylor’s The Red Tour and Australia and New Zealand are in for an absolute treat. … It has been 20 years since Madonna played stadiums for Frontier and I can honestly think of only a tiny handful of solo artists – male or female – who could fill stadiums today.”
Here is the plan:
Nov. 29 – Auckland, New Zealand, Vector Arena
Dec. 4 – Sydney, Australia, Allianz Stadium
Dec. 7 – Brisbane, Australia, Suncorp Stadium
Dec. 11 – Perth, Australia, nib Stadium
Dec. 14 – Melbourne, Australia, Etihad Stadium
Tickets go on sale May 21.
