Courtney Love Rides Again

The Hole leader strikes out on her own for a string of June dates on the East Coast. With many shows going on sale Friday, stops include Philadelphia, Boston, Brooklyn and Asbury Park.

While there’s no word as to whether the shows are part of a larger tour or if this is all Courtney Love has on her to-do agenda, the shows began surfacing earlier this week as individual venues began announcing ticket sales, prodded along by support band Starred announcing their own shows with the widow Cobain.

But there was a time when Love would take to the Internets to promote her gigs, making sure every media outlet major both and minor, knew she and her guitar were hitting the road.  Often posting on music sites back in the days when most celebs considered email a new and frightening thing best left to their assistants, Love rarely held anything back and was always upfront regarding her views about life, the universe and everything.

But that’s enough nostalgia about the good ol’ days. Here is what Courtney has planned for June:

June 20 – Philadelphia, Pa., Theatre Of The Living Arts
June 21 – Boston, Mass., House Of Blues Boston
June 22 – Silver Spring, Md., The Fillmore Silver Spring
June 26 – Brooklyn, N.Y.  Warsaw
June 27 – Port Chester, N.Y., The Capitol Theatre
June 28 – Asbury Park, N.J., Stone Pony Summerstage
June 29 – Huntington, N.Y., The Paramount

Brooklyn is already on sale.  All other shows go on sale May 10.  Starred appears June 20-22 & 29.
