Say G’Day To The New Wiggles

Fans in the U.S. and Canada will get a chance to meet the new Red, Yellow and Purple Wiggles when the Australian children’s music group launches its 35-city North American tour in mid-August in support of its new CD and DVD “Taking Off!”

Following the departure of Murray Cook (Red Wiggle), Jeff Fatt (Purple Wiggle) and Greg Page (Yellow Wiggle) at the end of 2012, the new team features Red Wiggle Simon Pryce, Purple Wiggle Lachlan Gillespie and the first ever female Wiggle – Emma Watkins as the Yellow Wiggle. The new members were selected by Anthony Fields, who still performs as The Blue Wiggle after starting the group over 21 years ago.

You can also expect to see your other Wiggle friends on tour – Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus.

Emma, Lachy, Simon & Anthony Wiggle

“It’s such a great way to start the year,” said Field. “There’s so much energy with these young guys. We introduced Simon, Emma and Lachy on the Celebration tour around the world and audiences loved them and I’m so excited to be heading out on the road across North America so that all our Wiggly fans can meet the new team.”

Before kicking off “Taking Off” tour this summer, The Wiggles have lined up several appearances in May including a pre-game autograph signing and performance at the New York Mets game May 12 at Citi Field.
