Beth Orton Changes Things Around

Beth Orton’s touring schedule is undergoing alterations the British singer/songwriter rewrites her May-June calendar and pushes back the start of her U.S. trek.  Originally planned to launch in Denver near the end of this month, Orton will now begin her journey on the West Coast June 10.

Touring in support of her first new album in six years – Sugaring Season – Orton’s sudden change of plans is being blamed on “unforeseen circumstances.”  However, shows scheduled for San Francisco, Los Angeles and Pioneertown, Calif., will take place as planned. Refunds on tickets for the nixed shows are available at points of purchase.

June 14 – Pioneertown, Calif., Pappy And Harriet’s Pioneertown Palace
July 28 – Newport, R.I., Fort Adams State Park (Newport Folk Festival)

July 30 – New York, N.Y., Le Poisson Rouge
July 31 – Brooklyn, N.Y., The Bell House
Aug. 2 – South Orange, N.J., South Orange Performing Arts Center
