Hooked On New Order’s Albums

Peter Hook doesn’t want to rejoin New Order’s lineup, but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to keep playing the band’s music. In September Hook and his group The Light will showcase New Order’s first two albums in their entirety on a U.S./Canada tour.

In addition to performing 1981’s Movement and 1983’s Power, Corruption & Lies from start to finish, Hook & The Light will also play the singles and B-sides from that period including “Everything’s Gone Green,” “Temptation” and “Blue Monday.”

If you’re in the mood for some Joy Division, you’ll want to catch Hook at Riot Fest, which takes place in Chicago Sept. 13-15. The show is being billed as a “U.S. exclusive Joy Division set.” Hook & The Light’s previous North American tours in December 2010 and September 2011 featured the group performing Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures and Closer albums.
