LN Announces Asian Partnership

Live Nation has formed a joint venture with Singapore-based Lushington Entertainments to promote concerts in Hong Kong and Singapore, the two most lucrative concert markets in Asia outside of Japan.

“Our new joint venture with Lushington will increase our presence in Asia and enable us to bring more live entertainment to more fans in Hong Kong, Singapore and throughout the region,” said Live Nation CEO and President Michael Rapino.

Live Nation operates five offices in Asia, including in Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

“After 23 years of promoting in the region, we found a great partner in Live Nation,” said Michael Roche, managing director of Lushington Entertainments. “We share a common vision and work style centered on hard work, integrity and dedication to bring the very best international and emerging stars to Hong Kong and Singapore.”

Lushington has been operating in the region since forming in 1990 to promote Eric Clapton‘s first Asian tour. Live Nation has worked with Lushington before, including last year bringing StingRoxette and BigBang to the region.

Roche will head the newly formed Live Nation Lushington and its first concert will be Linkin Park Aug. 15 in Hong Kong.
