Sigur Ros and The National will headline Laneway Festival’s debut in North America.

Laneway Detroit is Sept. 14 at Meadow Brook Music Festival in Rochester Hills, Mich.

Among the acts are WarpaintThe Dismemberment PlanSolange  Icona Pop,  Frightened RabbitMy Brightest Diamond, Run The Jewels, Chvrches and Deerhunter as well as Australia’s Flume and Chet Faker.

Laneway was founded by Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio with Chugg Entertainment in Melbourne, Australia, in 2004. It now spans eight cities and additional stops in New Zealand and Singapore.

The Detroit event is produced with Palace Sports & Entertainment and Paradigm agency.

“We were drawn to Laneway’s pedigree as a ground-breaking festival for indie music and we wanted to bring that here to Detroit, a place with its own incredible pedigree for musical innovation,” said Lucinda Treat, Palace Sports & Entertainment EVP for Business Operations and Strategy.
