Bonnaroo Site Adding Events

The site of the annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn., is preparing to host additional events following years of improvements and investments in infrastructure.

Organizers Superfly Presents and AC Entertainment purchased 530 acres of land where the annual music festival is staged and in 2007 announced plans to develop the property into “one of the premier event sites in the world.”

After adding on-site wells, permanent power and fuel-tank access, the time has apparently come. The site will host the Great American Mud Run July 27.

“We’re in active discussions with a lot of groups,” Superfly’s Rick Farman told the Tennessean. “We’re geared up to hold a number of different events all across the entertainment industry.”

In other Bonnaroo news, the fest released results from an economic impact report May 20 that found more than $50 million was generated for local and state economies from last year’s fest.
