Ozzfest Japan Sells Out

H.I.P., the Japanese promoter that presented the first Ozzfest ever to play Japan, reports that the two-day festival, which took place May 11-12, was sold out, drawing more than 20,000 fans each day.

H.I.P.’s partner in the project, Ozzfest organizer Sharon Osbourne, said in a statement, “I am so thrilled with the success of the first ever Ozzfest Japan. The fans really loved the extraordinary mix of international and Japanese artists. Since we had such a great reception, we’re already in dialogue about a 2014 Ozzfest Japan!”

H.I.P. President Kaori Hayashi said, “I feel we created a perfect storm with an amazing Japanese and international lineup.”
In addition to the reunited Black Sabbath featuring the festival’s namesake, Ozzy Osbourne, the show featured SlipknotToolDeftonesSlashStone SourMaximum the HormoneDir En Grey and Momoiro Clover Z.
