Billy Joel Makes Fall Plans

For now we just have one new date to talk about. But maybe this non-festival gig signals that Billy Joel is planning a full schedule for fall? Guess we’ll have to wait and see what the Piano Man has in mind.

Joel has booked a Nov. 1 show at The O2 in Dublin, Ireland. The concert marks his first time playing Dublin in seven years and his first time ever performing at an indoor venue in Ireland.

So far Joel has only taken the stage a handful of times this year including last month’s appearances at Stone Music Festival in Sydney, Australia, and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. On Wednesday he performed at the White House to honor Carole King as the recipient of the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.

If you missed AXS TV’s live broadcast of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, you’ll get another chance to watch Joel’s performance at the fest. Beginning today and continuing for the next three weeks, Joel is posting one song at a time, in set order, to his website. Starting with “Miami 2017 (Seen The Lights Go Out On Broadway),” the four-song set also includes “Big Man on Mulberry Street,” “Root Beer Rag” and “Scenese from an Italian Restaurant.”

Tickets for Dublin go on sale May 30.
