EDMbiz Conference Is A Daisy

The EDMbiz conference, held in Las Vegas prior to the launch of the Electronic Daisy Carnival, will host a bevy of top brass speakers this year, including WME Entertainment’s Marc Geiger, CAA’s Rob Light and Insomniac’s Pasquale Rotella.

The second annual conference will be held June 18-20 at The Cosmopolitan, with attendees invited to EDC Week nightclub parties at Marquee, TAO and Lavo, among other venues. Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino was one of last year’s keynotes. The Electronic Daisy Carnival is June 21-23.

This year’s keynotes includes a conversation with CAA music chief Rob Light, who will discuss the agency’s EDM strategy and “the Daft Punk effect.”

Also, WME’s Marc Geiger will talk with Perry Farrell. The two are expected to reflect on their collaboration as co-creators of Lollapalooza in 1991 and offer insight on the progression of  EDM.

Panel attendees include AM Only’s Lee Anderson, Live Nation Electronic Music President James Barton, Insomniac’s John Boyle, Red Light Management’s Bruce Eskowitz, SFX Entertainment’s Shelly Finkel, Hard Events’ Gary Richards, and WME Entertainment’s global head of electronic music Joel Zimmerman.
