The “Healing In The Heartland” benefit will take place at Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy Arena May 29, according to Associated Press.  The news service says details will be announced today and that the concert will be televised live on NBC.

Shelton announced that a show was in the works earlier this week on NBC’s “The Voice.”

The country singer isn’t the only Oklahoman helping storm victims.  Carrie Underwood announced she is donating $1 million to the Red Cross for disaster relief.

“I have watched the devastation in my home state of Oklahoma over the past several days with great sadness,” Underwood said in an announcement posted on her official website.  “With the help of my fans who attended my concerts over the past year, we can offer the Red Cross a little extra help in comforting those affected by the recent tornadoes.”
